Before & After
3/4" quartzite slabs with a 52"x52" fluted slab shower floor and Schluter Vario Drain.
Another clean install. Some great tile selections and details on this one. Absolutely love the contrasting colors. The only problem is the wife keeps asking when we get a bathroom this nice. Maybe next year hunny.
Couple bathrooms for a new construction home in Lake George
Small room but some nice details. Excited to see this one get finished. Walls will be slabbed out in Cambria.
Heated floor and some shower prep today. This one will be getting 3/4" Cambria on the walls. I'll be installing the shower base, the bathroom and shower floor tile, and the niche tile. excited to see this one get finished.
Quick little backsplash this week. Project like this are perfect for filling gaps in the schedule.
Love the way this travertine herringbone floor came out. Some really detailed scribes against the rock wall. Projects like this are what I love.
Was happy to assist in bringing this one to life. 100% custom design/layout. 4x4 handmade Mexican tile and custom matched grout. Every single peice was cut at least once, if not more. This was a fun project for an awesome client.
Had the pleasure of adding my skills and expertise to this Adirondack cabin themed bathroom. The scribed "runner" from door to shower was the original plan. Once installed i came up with the idea of cutting the leaves from the scrap floor tile and Inlaying them into the walls as a feature wall like the leaves are falling. Total after thought, but happy with the end results. Curbless showers are all the rage. If you are looking to age in place, it's the way to go.
Who doesn't love a good make your own puzzle?! Grateful my clients wanted to step out of the box and do something totally different and unique. This is my first large scribe job and I'm pretty damn pleased with it. It doesn't get much more custom than that.
Wrapped up this retro fit walk-in shower at the family's summer home today. 2/7 bathrooms were left with claw foot tubs and unfortunately nobody liked to use them. We decided to rip it out and fabricate this shower in it's place. I always enjoy a good challenge.
This one's been on the back burner for quite some time. It feels good to finally be putting it back together.
Some nice details in this one. Floating bench, river rock floor with tile-in grate and matching 32" niche. All corners Vein wrapped. Pretty happy with it overall. Another beautiful shower for another awesome client.
First time working with paper faced mosaics. While I was anticipating this being a royal pain in the butt, this #Lanudabay tile went up pretty well. Definitely a bit of a learning curve, but it came out pretty good. Grout and out for an early Friday tomorrow.
Little Saturday morning shower floor install. Finally starting to come together.
NoFlo from #flofx means waters not going anywhere but down the drain. Tomorrow I'll fabricate a couple of corner benches and install the shower floor. Monday it's off to the races on these walls.
Had to double dip today to stay on track. Little half bath floor quick this morning. Then up to waterproof this shower pan from yesterday, which came out mint! Tomorrow is niche framing, hanging the rest of the wall board, waterproofing walls, and starting a leak test to ensure its water tight. Thanks for following!
It's not as simple as just coming in, putting up board, and installing tile. There has never been one project where the substrates didn't need some sort of correcting to make it acceptable for tile. Especially in showers, the framing is never close enough to have tile installed so we must go through stud by stud and shim/plane the studs to get them back where they need to be to get a nice plumb, square, flat surface for the tile. Without that, the installation will never look great. Does your installer put this much effort into making sure everything is perfect? They should! Although in today's world it isn't, tile is considered a "permanent" installation. You only want to have to do it once. You want it to look beautiful and last a lifetime.
Two jobs going on this week. This is a master bath floor we installed last month. Back on site to start the shower, while the helper demos and preps a small half bath at another project.
Glass Mosiacs to really test my patience today. Turned out good but it's a trend I wouldn't mind if I never saw again!
And just like that, another couple of rooms ushered into the modern era.
It's all about the preparation. After that, smooth sailing. Couple floors ready for tile.
This floor didn't even make it 30 years. Time to replace it with something that will last a lifetime.
Weve been busy, but heres a simple little backplash, a nice all glass shower surround with a waterfall accent and two custom niches, and a bathroom floor that we wrapped up rescently. Eat. Breathe. Sleep. Dream TILE
A little of this, and a little of that. Another fun one for @hinman_construction!
Client had some mixed boxes of leftover tile, ( neither of which were enough to do the whole floor ) and a small bathroom floor that was in need of some help. So we pieced this together and saved her some money on new tile. Always happy to try and help a client anyway I can. Not too bad for a hodpodge of leftover tiles. Thanks again for the business Allison, it was a pleasure!
Pack a Pan Friday was yesterday. We'll let that cure over the weekend and waterproof it on Monday. Nothing better than a custom packed mud pan with a flofx drain! @flofx.usa
Got a banger in the works. We'll be fitting this master out with some marble herringbone. Stay tuned 🤙
This master bathroom at the Stratton project got quite the makeover. Few before and afters. Still some finishing touches to be done, but it looks great!
First of 4 bathroom remodels up at Stratton Mt, VT. Complete #schlutersystemsna shower system. Monolithic 12x24 on floors and walls. Tiled entire vanity wall and connected to shower with wanescotting. Trimmed out with matte white jollys. Linear drain and low profile curb. Just waiting on some solid stone to finish the curb and bathroom threshold, and this ones a wrap. On to the Master
Finally started the first phase of this 4 bathroom project. Wrapping this first one up in the orange stuff. Wall to curb linear drain, rain shower head, body sprayer, and a sleek low profile curb. #schlutersystems #strattonmountain
Dumpster is full, and the rooms are empty. Couple small things and we're ready for rough in 🤙
Made my way out to Stratton Mt. VT yesterday to start the first phase of a 4 bathroom remodel. What a great view we have!
It's finally official, trailering in style! Shout out to "Mac The Knife" of Queensbury for getting me on the schedule and doing a fantastic job of lettering the trailer. You guys rock!
Wrapped up this 2x8 brick bond with a framed herringbone feature for @hinman_construction today. Always a good time working for them. Until the next one, on to another one.
After the anxiety of having my new kitchen backsplash tile installed by someone that did a terrible job, I was referred to Ron to have a do over. I love the job he did.....so professional and perfectly installed. I'll never use anyone else.
Hands down Ron is the BEST at tile. We have had many contractors in our home and we had our best experience with Ron. Ron's work is meticulous! He takes his time to make everything perfect. He does wonderful and precise work. Ron works in such an orderly and tidy way and his pricing is fair and reasonable. We will be working with Ron again on our bathroom and laundry room floor tile.
